After school science clubs

Fun, entertaining, creative and educational – our after school science clubs deliver the ideal formula.

Our workshops are designed to inspire and enthuse boys and girls of all ages and abilities.Engaging Science and Engineering Education

Through a series of exciting experiments and design challenges, our young ‘hands on scientists’ go on a journey of discovery about the world and the way it works.

All the activities have a set of key objectives and learning outcomes which complement the National Curriculum and develop the children’s personal learning and thinking skills.

Buggy makingWe have a dedicated team of professional staff who work closely with the children in a safe and supervised environment.  Each workshop involves simple, practical science projects designed to stimulate young inquiring minds – to answer those vital ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions in a fun and engaging way.

Workshops are clearly structured.  After recapping our learning from the previous week, we discuss a new topic and set out this week’s challenge.  When we have tidied up, we get together to review our discoveries.
Hands on Science

Pupils also have the chance to take the ‘Beat the Scientist’ challenge and to gain a ‘Hands on Science Investigator Award’.

Variety is a cornerstone of our approach.   A child who joined our after school club from Year 2 through to Year 6 would not do the same activity twice.  Why should they?  There is so much exciting and challenging science out there!

Small group sizes mean we can give each child individual attention.

Safe hands-on experiments develop skills and enthusiasm which children take back into the classroom

A weekly email update keeps parents involved and suggests further activities for at home.
