British Science Week 2024 theme was "Time". Our engaging and informative linked workshops explored engineering, forces, construction, and our amazing world, investigating the fundamental role the notion of time plays in all aspects of scientific discovery - from how the stars and planets in our universe are centred around time and distance, to the time taken to develop new technology, and perfect scientific breakthroughs. Halloween at Hands on Science offers the ideal themed Skeletons, Candles, and Kitten Rescue workshops. We also have exciting and investigative CSI workshops too, each which develop and inspire young minds.

Candles, Firework Science and Lovely Light are brilliant relevant workshops to celebrate Diwali. All involve great Hands on activities, focused around the key theme of light.

Our top workshop for Bonfire night is Fireworks Science, for real 'wow' practical investigations into flame colours and oxygen that introduces combustion and what makes a flame burn.

A time for families and giving gifts. Workshops such as bath bombs, plants and candles combine scientific investigation, creativity - and making presents.

2022 theme was "Growth". Growth means so many things, growth in our world and the environment around us, growth in humans or animals, evolution, biodiversity, or even engineering and construction. We still run an exciting Growth themed workshop programme.

This year's theme was "Our Diverse Planet".

A great day to show your mum how much you love and appreciate her. Pretty candles, colourful bookmarks and scented bath bombs are all great presents for mum made in our workshops.
